sadly, today i have cancelled my neynar subscription
my open and free farcaster hub has been shut down too
all my bots that i've built on farcaster already haven't worked for a while because of rapid api changes that, frankly, i don't have time to fix
a stupid tg bot i've built in 2016 (8 years ago) still works today because there weren't many breaking bot api changes
smart contracts that i've written years ago are still up and running
i'm not leaving the ecosystem just yet but it is difficult as it is to build something people want to use, moreover when you literally have to fight for these things to work repeatedly every few months
i'm also demotivated to build anything on farcaster now because i'm afraid it will break again in 1-2 months
imagine this:
you’re boarding your 15 hour flight back home after an exhausting (but fulfilling!) week in singapore.
you’re behind a bickering couple who slide into row 46.
oh wait, you’re in row 46. you get excited because you’re seat B, a middle seat and you think maybe you’ll get to switch with one of them.
too bad, you learn. they don’t want to switch with you, but they do want to argue over you.
he can’t figure out the WiFi. she can’t either.
you keep playing on your phone and hope they don’t notice that you’re fully connected and locked in.
she orders two cups of wine. then a third and then a fourth.
he still can’t figure out the wifi. she can’t be bothered. typically you’d offer to help but instead you put in your airpods (it’s been a long week).
he asks her for his xanax. she rolls her eyes and takes longer than humanly possible to pass it over to him.
and then they hold hands.
yes, right over your lap.
you wonder if you’re in a simulation.
(you’re not).
It has been a full week now since GitHub disabled our public repository for Quilibrium. Here's what we know.
1. After pushing through multiple connections to escalate the case, we finally received a support response after the first 48 hours:
Execution and well-conceived integration are a mandatory minimum of realizing the potential of new innovations. Grab a coffee (or hot chocolate if you're @greg), sit back, and relax, we're going on a deep dive.
I attended the SBF trial. It was one of the most mind-blowing experiences of my life.
Seeing him get a 25 year sentence today is as surreal as it felt sitting right behind him in that courtroom.
Here’s my story of that day:
